Hi everyone! It’s been way too long since we had a music upload, but don’t worry. Today is the day. And today, we are talking about one that I have been obsessed with. Even though it is a song about depression, it gives a sense of motivation that I have needed these last few weeks. So, let’s talk about Call Your Mom by Noah Kahan.
The picture above is arguably one of my favorite song lyrics. When things are bad it feels like it will last forever. Absolutely nothing lasts forever. The darkness always fades. The lights always come back on. It might take days, or weeks, or months, or years. But they’ll come back on.
Now, you might have just read that and thought to yourself, “She has no idea what she is talking about”, and half the time I don’t. Trust me on this, though. I have been there. I know what it’s like to not get out of bed in the morning. I know what it feels like to no longer find enjoyment in your favorite things. I know what it’s like to feel absolutely horrible. I’ve been there. Every time I’ve been there, I’ve been able to turn the lights on. Whether it took days, weeks, or months, I got through it.
If you are struggling, so am I. We don’t suffer in silence here. Life is hard. I’ve been there. Don’t let it discourage you. I’ve made it through it before, and so will you.
Today’s post is super short but I made myself cry. Go listen to literally every Noah Kahan song ever made. I love you all. Thank you for being here.
I’ll see you Friday :)
